2024 Storm Impacts

Below are the listed storms that impacted Florida in 2024: 

Hurricane Milton

Hurricane Milton made landfall on Oct 9 in Sarasota, Florida, as a Category 3 hurricane. Loxahatchee Groves was not in it's trajectory. However, multiple tornados spun off the storm across the state. A tornado traversed through the Town of Loxahatchee Groves, causing some damage as it moved through the area. This damage included uprooted and snapped trees, overturned RVs and trucks, and downed power lines. After impacting the town, the tornado continued into The Acreage.

Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene made landfall on Sept. 26 near Perry, Florida, as a Category 4 storm. Loxahatchee Groves was unaffected.
